Dr. Edmund Wehrle, Associate Professor of History at Eastern Illinois University, is coming to the Korean War National Museum to discuss the politics, economics, and culture of the early 1950s in the United States, and what was happening on the home front, while war was raging in Korea. Dr. Wehrle will be at the Denis J. Healy Freedom Center on Dec. 8, and his discussion will begin at 1 p.m.

“We are honored Dr. Wehrle will be visiting the Freedom Center and sharing his knowledge of the 1950s in the United States, especially about what the home front was like during the Korean War,” said KWNM Museum Assistant Thomas M. Kenny. “We are always trying to help people learn about different aspects of the Korean War, and Dr. Wehrle’s presentation will do just that.”

Students, educators, and media are welcome and encouraged to attend.
