Mike Zimmerman, former company commander in the 7th Infantry Division who served in Korea from 1964-1965, will be discussing the history of the Korean War as well as exploring the “what ifs” of the Korean War and alternative outcomes of the major decisions of the war. Mr. Zimmerman will be at the Denis J. Healy Freedom Center on Dec. 15 and his discussion will begin at 1 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, but reservations are strongly encouraged.
“We are honored Mr. Zimmerman will be visiting the Freedom Center, sharing this unique look at the Korean War, and how things could have been,” said KWNM Museum Assistant Thomas M. Kenny. “This presentation will give guests a better understanding of the Korean War and help remember the ‘forgotten war’.”
Students, educators, and media are welcome and encouraged to attend.
