Old School Museum will open for the 2013 season on Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. every weekend through the end of October. There is no fee to visit the museum. The museum collection contains many unique items from Scott County's past and has wonderful displays that are of interest to visitors of all ages. On display are antique school items, archeological finds, farm wagons and equipment, antique cars, a great old City of Winchester fire truck and even the complete soda fountain from Frost's Drug Store. There are many more wonderful things from the past that are sure to make your visit a fun trip down memory lane. At the opening a special display chronicling Mr. Douglas' time as a judge will be available for viewing for the first time. This display is on loan to the museum from the Illinois Supreme Court Historic Preservation Society and deals with a volatile time in the Illinois courts.
