The Sullivan Chamber and Economic Development is hosting a business expo from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Taste of Sullivan April 27 at the First United Methodist Church.
The expo, which is scheduled every other year, gives businesses a chance to meet with the public and promote their goods and services. Non-SCED businesses and non-profit organizations may also participate in the event.
Laurrie Minor, chamber administrator, said the event provides businesses and organizations with tons of exposure. “You have a captive audience,” said Minor. “In the past, it has been well attended and a very popular event. Businesses have found they get repeat business from it. You would be amazed at how many people live in the community and don’t know about your business.”
Minor is accepting reservations from those wanting to participate in the expo. Electricity will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Businesses are not permitted to sell anything, but they may promote their products using brochures, talking directly with the public, distributing free discount cards, donating and item for a door prize or hosting their own free raffle.
