Lincoln Land Community College will host its 13th annual Banned Books Readings from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in A. Lincoln Commons. LLCC students and faculty will read selections from books that have been banned or challenged at some point in time. The public is invited to attend at no charge.
The event is held in conjunction with the 31st annual Banned Books Week: Celebrating the Freedom to Read Sept. 22-28 which has been observed by the American Library Association since 1982.
Coordinator of the LLCC event is Dr. Deborah Brothers, professor of English.
