    The 1850's diary of Edward W. Morse, a Springfield store clerk will be discussed by Curtis Mann. The diary recorded the daily weather, the author's everyday activities and views as well as details about family members. Mann is a retired head of the Sangamon Valley Collection at Lincoln Library, a former City historian and past president of the Sangamon County Historical Society. He holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor's in history from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. 217-525-1961
