Info

The original plaintiffs gather to discuss the history-making change in city governance. Thirty years ago the court determined that Springfield's government was not representative of its citizens, and the current aldermanic system was instituted.  Hear how this process unfolded from panelists Frank McNeil, William Washington, Rudolph Davenport, Howard Veal, Archie Lawrence, Larry Golden and Don Craven, moderated by Former Alderwoman Gail Simpson. The question will be posed, "Has the change in Springfield's form of government improved the overall condition of the citizens it was intended to represent ?"
