Local jazz musician Trompeter puts on a bad suit or a tux and some bad taste bling and Voila!! He's Frank E. Rambelon, the
undisputed finest of all the (1) working lounge singers in Central
Illinois. Educated in the well-regarded "Bill Murray School of Comedy Lounge Singing" (flunked), Rambelon does fine actual lounge singing and then re-works rock songs as Lounge Music.
Sure, there will be "Come (be) Fly With Me" and "Cry Me a River," bu also Frank E's "very special" interpretations of rock songs by artists
including Robert Palmer, Tom Jones and of course his infamous version of
"Helter Skelter" by the Beatles. Even when he's not singing Eminem, he
still loses himself in the music, the moment, he owns it, and he never
lets it go.And all while attempting to keep all the jokes n
patter as clean as the fresh hoppy after-taste of a Rolling Meadows Draft.
Come for the Music Thursday, and see this funny guy 'Tear the
Mother-Effing' Roof off like two dogs caged,' since he was playing in the beginning, but the mood's all changed. SEe him Teeter-totter, caught between between a singer and a prima dona--baby mama drama's carrying on, too much for him to stay in one spot. Come to this, you GOT (TO)!
