The Animal Protective League (APL) will hold several pet adoptions during April with cats and dogs available at various locations.  All animals presented by APL for have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received all vaccinations by the time of their adoption.

Adoptions will be held:

·         Saturday, April 22 – Cats and dogs will be available for adoption in our Mobile Pet Adoption Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the Earth Day celebrations in downtown Springfield; cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart

·         Sunday, April 23 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart.

·         Friday, April 28 - Cats and dogs will be available for adoption in our Mobile Pet Adoption Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at APL's annual Upscale Collectible Sale, 3057 West Wabash Ave., Springfield (inside the old Circuit City).

·         Saturday, April 29 – Cats and dogs will be available for adoption in our Mobile Pet Adoption Center from 8 a.m. to 11:30 at APL's annual Upscale Collectible Sale, 3057 West Wabash Ave., Springfield (inside the old Circuit City); Cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart

Sunday, April 30 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart

 

Dogs and cats are available for adoption daily from noon until 5 p.m. at the shelter located at 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield.  Please note the shelter will be closed on Sunday, April 16th in recognition of the Easter holiday.

 

APL, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting ill, injured and abandoned homeless animals, runs an animal shelter which is open every day from noon to 5 p.m. for adoptions.  APL also coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs.  APL also operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter.
