Help solve the mystery of who killed Mr. Boddy in Theatre 7's "Clue: The
Musical," the first show of their 2017-2018 season of "Murder, Mystery & Mayhem!" Tickets
are on sale for this hilarious, family-friendly live-action version of the internationally popular
board game "Clue" showing at the Decatur Civic Center from October 13-15 and 20-22. Who
did it? You decide!
"When Theatre 7 decided it wanted to make this season all about murder mysteries we agreed
that a family friendly game of CLUE was just what we wanted," said Director Tanya Haubner.
"Who doesn't like family game night? That's just what this show is, well with some songs and
dancing thrown in for good measure!"
The internationally popular game is now a fun-filled musical which brings the world's
best-known suspects to life and invites the audience to help solve the mystery: who killed Mr.
Boddy, in what room and with what weapon? There's a new murderer every night! Before the
show, the audience will receive forms to help them deduce the solution from clues given
throughout the evening. Like the game, select audience members will choose from cards
representing the potential murderers, weapons and rooms ‒ there are 216 possible solutions!
Only one hard-nosed detective is qualified to unravel the merry mayhem.
"The characters in this show make it what it is," Haubner said. "Everyone from a disgruntled
cook to a prim and proper professor, the actors really have embraced their characters. When the
actors are having fun on stage the audience is having fun watching them and trust me they sure
know how to have fun."
Opening night for the two-week run is Friday, October 13. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays
and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at the Decatur Civic Center, 1 Gary K Anderson Plaza. Doors
open half an hour before curtain.
Tickets are $15. Select your seats by purchasing tickets in advance online at theatre7.tix.com or
