The Animal Protective League (APL) will hold several pet adoptions during August with cats and dogs available at various locations.  All animals presented by APL for have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received all vaccinations by the time of their adoption.

 Adoptions will be held:

·         Saturday, August 12 –  Cats and dogs will be available in our Mobile Pet Adoption Center from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Farm and Home Supply, 3030 Wabash Ave., Springfield; cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
·         Sunday August 13 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
·         Saturday, August 19 – Cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart, dogs will be available from noon until 3 p.m. at the Comptrollers Tent on the Illinois State Fairgrounds, 801 E. Sangamon Avenue, Springfield.
·         Sunday, August 20 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs available from noon until 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
·         Saturday, August 26 – Cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart. In addition to our regular adoptions at the shelter from noon to 5, APL will be hosting our annual Kitten Circus.  APL's Mobile Pet Adoption Center will be parked in front of the shelter filled with kittens from our various foster families.  In keeping with the theme, APL will be offering cotton candy, snow cones and other treats while the shelter is open.
·         Sunday, August 27 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
 
Dogs and cats are available for adoption daily from noon until 5 p.m. at the shelter located at 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield. 
 
APL, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting ill, injured and abandoned homeless animals, runs an animal shelter which is open every day from noon to 5 p.m. for adoptions.  APL also coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs.  APL also operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter.
