The Animal Protective League (APL) will hold several pet adoptions during October with cats and dogs available at various locations. All animals from APL have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received all vaccinations by the time of their adoptions.
Adoptions will be held:
Sunday, October 22 – Adoptable cats will be available from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at PetSmart; adoptable cats will be available in the Illinois Building located on the State Fairgrounds as part of the Lucky Tom Cat/Tiger's Lair Cat Show from 9 a.m. until the show's conclusion.
Saturday, October 28 – Adoptable cats will be available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon until 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
Sunday October 29 – Adoptable cats and dogs will be available in APL's Mobile Pet Adoption Center from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at APL's Annual Chili Supper at the Knights of Columbus, 2200 Meadowbrook Rd., Springfield; adoptable cats will be available from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at PetSmart.
Dogs and cats are available for adoption daily from noon until 5 p.m. at the shelter located at 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield.
APL is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting ill, injured and abandoned homeless animals. APL also coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs as well as a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter.
