The Animal Protective League (APL) will hold several pet adoptions during February with cats and dogs available at various locations. All animals presented by APL for have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received all vaccinations by the time of their adoption.
Adoptions will be held:
· Saturday, February 24 – Cats and dogs will be available in APL's Mobile Pet Adoption Center from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Farm and Home Supply, 3030 Wabash Ave., Springfield: cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
· Sunday, February 25 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon until 3 p.m. at PetSmart..
Dogs and cats are available for adoption daily from noon until 5 p.m. at the shelter located at 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield.
APL, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting ill, injured and abandoned homeless animals, runs an animal shelter which is open every day from noon to 5 p.m. for adoptions. APL also coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs. APL also operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter.
