The City of Springfield is hosting its 26th Annual Earth Awareness Fair Saturday, April 21 on the grounds of the Old State Capitol. 

This free, family-friendly event will take place from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., rain or shine, and feature 40+ exhibitors and will include live music, games, crafts, activities, workshops, food and refreshments, and other scheduled programming.

* For individuals who are deaf and/or hard of hearing, there will be translators at scheduled workshops as well as at other activities.

The City of Springfield's Office of Public Works announced that its 26th Annual Earth Awareness Fair will take place Saturday, April 21 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Old State Capitol in downtown Springfield.  

This free, family-friendly event will occur rain or shine and feature more than 40 exhibitors highlighting environmental topics such as recycling, reuse, energy efficiency, alternative energy, climate, native plants and habitats, local and organic foods, and water conservation. 

The afternoon will also include live musical performances from seven bands/artists, a magic show, petting zoo, games, crafts and activities, contests and special workshops.  A Bicycle Rodeo for kids ages 5-12 will be offered by the Springfield Bicycle Club. The Springfield Urban League's Wellness on Wheels (WOW) mobile will also be in attendance and the local Lions Club will be collecting eye glasses and hearing aids. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase and new this year is a beer & wine garden highlighting local sustainable practices. 

For individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing, translators will be at scheduled workshops and other activities.
