The Animal Protective League (APL) will hold several pet adoptions during May with cats and dogs available at various locations. All animals presented by APL for have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received all vaccinations by the time of their adoption.
Adoptions will be held:
· Sunday, May 20 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon until 3 p.m. at PetSmart as part of PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend.
· Saturday, May 26 – Cats will available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. dogs will be available from noon to 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
· Sunday, May 27 – Cats will be available from noon until 4 p.m. and dogs will be available from noon until 3 p.m. at PetSmart.
Dogs and cats are available for adoption daily from noon until 5 p.m. at the shelter located at 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield. Please note, the shelter will be closed on Monday, May 28th in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday.
APL, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting ill, injured and abandoned homeless animals, runs an animal shelter which is open every day from noon to 5 p.m. for adoptions. APL also coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs. APL also operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter.
