At a Death Café, people drink tea, eat cake and discuss death. As strange as such a gathering might seem, our aim is to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their lives.
You might be surprised to know that there are Death Café groups gathering throughout the world. These group-directed discussions about death are effective because there are no agendas, objectives or themes. It is important to know that the purpose for these discussions is not to offer people a grief support or counseling session. Two experienced facilitators (Dan Frachey & Jan Conrady) will be present to assure that there is no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action. Our discussions generally last 90 minutes.
