TIME: 11am and 6:30pm
The 72nd annual Midwest Charity Horse Show will be held June 11-15 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Coliseum. Performances will be held daily starting at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public. One of the premier horse shows in the United States, the Midwest Charity Horse Show features American Saddlebred, Roadster, Morgan and Arabian horses and Hackney ponies.
Since its inception, the Midwest Charity Horse Show, an all-volunteer organization, has donated its annual proceeds to a Springfield area charity. Camp COCO, a project of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Ill., has been selected as Midwest’s beneficiary since 1988. Camp COCO is a free, week-long summer camp for children suffering from cancer, leukemia and other blood disorders.
