Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center

Located at the Dam East Recreation area on Lake Shelbyville. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project office opened in December 2010 with the visitor center portion opening early 2011. Both are located just east of downtown off Route 16. There is an exhibit hall, grand lobby, sales area, auditorium, rest rooms, library, outdoor deck, observation platforms, an outdoor classroom, and butterfly house and garden and a telescope overlooking the lake.
