Jim Leach is the News and Program Director for WMAY and has hosted a daily talk show there since 1996. He is President of the Muni Opera Board of Managers and serves on the board at Basket of Hope. He and his late wife, Lisa, are parents of two children and grandparents of Aiden and Evie.
Bruce Rushton has covered politics and government in four states and has been a journalist for 30 years. He has won numerous state and national awards, including the Gerald Loeb Award for coverage of the internet porn industry, the Public Service Award from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies for forcing the Governor to release his appointments calendar, and the John Aubuchon Freedom of Information Award. He also writes about redneck fishing and his dog.
Bernie Schoenburg joined The State Journal-Register in 1990 covering City Government, and became the political writer and columnist in 1992. Previously he worked for the AP in Chicago and The Pantagraph of Bloomington. He has covered seven national political conventions and the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama. He and wife Dr. Kim Yaffe Schoenburg have two children - Sam, 29, in Chicago and Elly, 27, in New York City.
