Hailed as "a real deal country singer" and songwriter who pens "old-school country [songs] about love, loss, vices, God, friendships and navigating it all the best that you can" (Omaha World-Herald), Cody Jinks is set to perform at Boondocks in Springfield on Wednesday, September 19.
Lifers, Cody's Rounder Records debut, was released on July 27 and it shook the Billboard charts, reaching #2 on Country, #5 on Current Album and #11 on Top 200. Lifers also exploded on iTunes, opening at #2 on its Top Albums list, right behind Kenny Chesney's Songs For The Saints.
Cody leads a back-to-basics, populist outlaw musical movement thanks in good part to relentless road work and killer live sets. He has already sold a quarter million of his previous independently-released albums and his shows sell out so quickly that he frequently has to add second nights at venues across the nation. Such was the case with recent shows in Lexington, KY; Portland, OR; Atlanta, GA and at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium.
