The University of Illinois Springfield presents the 8th annual Student Technology, Arts & Research Symposium (STARS). UIS undergraduate and graduate students will showcase their research and creative activities through short talks, poster presentations, art exhibitions, musical and theatrical performances throughout this three-day event to be held April 17-19 at the UIS campus. The symposium gives the community a chance to learn about the variety of work being done by students and gives businesses the opportunity to network with potential new talent. This year's keynote speaker is David Gunkel, an award-winning Northern Illinois University educator and scholar. He will speak about "How to Survive the Robot Apocalypse" on April 17th at 6 p.m. in Brookens Auditorium. For a full list of activities and to view a detailed schedule visit go.uis.edu/stars.
